Institute for Security Technology Studies(ISTS), Mar 2003 – Feb 2004.
  Project:
 
  • Create Intranet for ISTS.
  • Write & proofread mock news stories for cyber-security excercise.
  • Make Video Teleconferencing unit(VTC) more accessible to non-technical employees through: redesigning the VTC's user interface, condensing 400 page manual, and creating tutorials, and training staff in its use.
  • Create relational database emcompassing several existing spreadsheets including: private & public personel, tracking keys & equipment, and phone lists.
Execution:
 
  • Created and maintained intranet site for Institute using HTML and CSS.
  • Involved in creation of 200 ‘mock’ news stories for national cyber-security war exercise. Created HTML template as means to deliver documents with look similar to legit news sources.
  • Made Video Teleconferencing unit(VTC) more accessible to non-technical employees by: redesigning the VTC's user interface, condensing 400 page manual and creating tutorials for VTC, and training staff in its use.
  • Utilized FileMakerPro to design interface for VTC control unit.
  • Designed relational database in Microsoft Access based on ISTS spreadsheets. Information was later imported into FileMakerPro.

  • Re-design company intranet.
  • Provide staff with training and support for Macromedia Dreamweaver, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
Execution:
 
  • Created website flash intro, based on company's logo and mission statement.
  • Increased usability and functionality of intranet by promoting use of new software and creating logical flow / structure.
  • Provided employees with training and software support.
  • Created online forms and templates for use of administrative staff.
  • Above work resulted in improved efficiency of inside sales team. Company intranet was highlighted as a key reason for J&K Sales being named "CMOP YEAR" by a trade magazine.

  Project:
 
  • Design online virtual gallery for several artists, musicians and writers
Execution:
 
  • Designing online virtual gallery for several artists, musicians and writers.
  • Site is being re-designed to enable me to focus on site membership. Site will use personally modified version of Coppermine and PHP/MySQL to allow members to upload their work dircectly to personal galleries and Macromedia Contribute to allow others to modify pages.
  • Currently uses templates I created in Macromedia Dreamweaver. Macromedia Fireworks and JavaScript were also used.

  • Site eventually developed into Artist-Ink.com and is now just personal site with a splash screen. New interface and mission under development.
